Recent News and Prayer Request

Prayer Request | Sept 1

• That our team would grow in love for Christ and each other daily.• That all the students we speak to would clearly understandGod's mission and love for the world.• That we would see long term goers, senders, and mobilizers raised up from every meeting this semester.

Update | Sept 1

Our three teams travel to 240 campuses and speak to 15,000 students a year in hopes of igniting missions vision for the next generation to reach the world with the gospel! We specifically highlight 1) the needs of the 3 billion Unreached people in the 10/40 window (shown above) who have no access to the gospel, and 2) students' unique and valuable role in reaching the world by praying, giving, welcoming internationals, going overseas, and/or mobilizing. This is our first time in a year having a full team, and we're so excited! Our teammates are Hana Love (second year traveler) and JB (first year traveler). Our whole team is from Arkansas, and we are pumped to travel together!

Week FiveThe theme for week five was generosity! Mason taught the project about how & why we can be generous with our time, treasures, and talents through the story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). A couple days later, I hosted a night of giving, so that students could meet a current missionary, and practice generosity. We brought in my friend who went to IT Project the same year I was a student and a couple from Riverside, CA. The 3 of them are joining a long term team in Malaysia. They shared their stories of how they were mobilized, how they decided to go to Malaysia, and their hopes to plant a church among the Malay people group (majority Muslim).

Greater LoveBy not leading a small group, I had more time this summer to invest in all 22 girls at the project and give special care in the moment to anyone having a hard time. As I spent time with students — talking about theology or feelings - and staff women - connecting or having fun — the Lord deepened my love for other people in ways I didn't know I could love! It was such a privilege to hear each of their unique stories and watch God soften their hearts to the nations over the summer. Praise God for giving each woman at IT Project a greater love for Himself and for others.

DiscipleshipMason led a bible study through 1 John and had weekly one-on-one meetings with the guys in his small group. He cared for them on a personal level as we studied challenging topics and other religions throughout the summer. At the end of the summer, Wes said, "Before this summer, I would have never shared my faith with someone of a different religion. But after this summer, I want to share with everyone I can, because of how sweet God's grace is." It's such a blessing to see the change in Wes's heart over 7 weeks!

Prayer Request | May 8

Please Pray: 1. For wisdom about what to do next when we get to the end of our traveling commitment. 2. For God to provide for our monthly and one-time support needs over this break. 3. For our students who are preparing to come to IT Project this summer - that God would provide all their support and prepare their hearts for a summer of growth.

Great Commission Alliance is a ministry based in Albuquerque that mobilizes and equips believers here and in the 10/40 window to take the gospel to and disciple new believers in the Unreached! We did a Saturday training for their community on our way back to Arkansas from the West Coast. Our team taught 4 of the Saturday sessions. Missionaries working in the Middle East and India also shared about the work they are doing! It was a fruitful and encouraging day.

Update | May 8

We met Miko @ UC Davis, and before the meeting, he shared that he has a burden for the people of Japan. Miko tried to go on 3 mission trips to Japan that were all canceled, so he was wrestling with doubts. After our meeting, He was encouraged and reminded that God's heart is for Japan & that Miko still has a role to play in taking the gospel to the nations! Mason even connected him to an agency to explore ways to go to Japan in the next year or so.

Men & Women’s B-studsA couple of our directors, Jake & Amber, live in Riverside, and host weekly bible studies with college students. Mason met with Jake’s guys and did an in-depth bible study format of the World Vision Illustration! They asked lots of questions about things like God’s justice and what happens to those who don’t hear, leading to important conversations and in-depth looks at scripture. It was a fruitful night. At the same time I (SM) taught Amber’s group about women in modern missions history, and the 5 habits of a World Christian we can imitate from their lives. A different woman and different story impacted each of the girls that night! One girl was inspired to reconnect with her international friend. Another girl, who grew up in the 10/40 window as a missionary kid, was excited about using her personal experiences to advocate for the needs of the Unreached as a mobilizer!

Prayer Request | Jan 1

Pray that we continue to build our marriage on Christ and the Word.

Prayer Request | Jan 1

Pray that students we met this fall would be faithful to take steps as goers, senders and mobilizers.

Rena grew up in a Christian home in Japan, and came to Cal State, Long Beach for school this year. While she lived in Japan, she had no desire to do ministry there. After we shared about the 3 billion unreached people in the 10/40 window who don't have access to the gospel, she realized how privileged she was to grow up knowing the language and culture of Japan. Now, she wants to return, and do evangelism with her church! She finally sees the value of doing ministry in Japan. In the meantime, she's reaching out to other international students in her dorm to share the love of Christ with them.

Most days, we're planting seeds and entrusting their growth to the Lord, because we only speak with students for one night. Sometimes, though, God gives us a glimpse of the fruit that comes from our labor! After Mason shared the Biblical Basis of Missions at Redemption Church in Tempe, AZ, a student was so impacted, that he immediately voiced the change that happened in his heart. He said, "My campus ministry has been trying to get me to go on a mission trip this summer, and I've been planning to tell them 'no, I'm not going,' but now I want to tell them yes. I want to go."

About Mason & Mason & Sarah Morgan Willett

Our ministry of mobilization is one of planting seeds for God’s heart for the world in students across America. During school semesters, we travel to 40-45 college campuses & church ministries all over the U.S. Our hope and prayer is to raise up the next generation of Goers and Senders to get involved in missions. With every group we meet, we share a Biblical Basis of Missions to show students that God has a desire for the gospel to go to all nations. Then, we’ll train students in how to live on mission every day & how to mobilize their friends and family to care about the nations. We follow up with interested students who want to talk about next steps — whether that’s praying, welcoming international students, or connecting them to a mission agency so they can go overseas short or long-term. In the summers, we lead a missions-oriented discipleship training for 7 weeks to help college students grow in their knowledge of God’s word, the needs of the world, and the work to be done before they go overseas someday, Lord willing.
